A mint and rare condition 14k gold topped mens Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust wrist watch, fully serviced, overhauled and keeping excellent time and guaranteed to be an authentic Rolex wrist watch. The watch with a satin-gold dial, original Rolex Jubilee watch band  and its presentation box. The watch has just been fully overhauled and cleaned by my watch-maker and is keeping excellent time.

This watch is guaranteed to be a genuine Swiss Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date-Just men's wrist watch, in excellent condition and is signed to the dial, movement and the case. The dating of the watch from the excellent book by Hess and Dowling on their history of Rolex. This Rolex OysterDate is in very fine and superb condition and a fabulous and highly practical watch for every-day use. This is a beautifully made mens 14k gold topped Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust wrist watch, dating from ca. 1979. The watch is clearly marked Rolex to dial, button, movment, bracelet and in its original Rolex case.

THE DIAL: 100% mint, the satin-gold dial with black Roman numerals, signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust, Superlative Chronometer, Officially Ceetified to the centre. Dial with very fine and original luminous inset hands with centre seconds. Diameter is 30 mm. The original Rolex Cyclops crystal is also in excellent condition. The dial looks a tiny bit hazy due to reflections from the crystal but is in fact perfect as is the bubble over the date.

THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with polished and highly reflective steel plates and finely engraved balance cock. A shiny blued steel Bosely regulator, and ruby endstone setting, blue steel screws. With Rolex balance, with overcoiled hairspring and highly jeweled and with two adjustments. The plates in very fine condition, with the rhodium plating in excellent order and auto rotor to centre. The gold Rolex Oyster stamped winding crown in fine condition. The winding button screws down tightly onto the case post and the threads are in perfect condition. This movement is a very fine and original example of Rolex classic engineering at its very best. The movement is a Rolex calibre 1570, with 26 jewels and adjusted to five postions.  The movement with number of 6,076,xxx dating the watch to 1979.

THE CASE: 100% mint, the 14k gold topped case measures an impressive 34 mm x 40mm. The front cover is excellent and the watch with a screw on stainless steel rear cover. The case with screw in bubble back cover and serrated edge which screws in tightly with a new rubber sealing washer. The serrated edge to rear cover in fine order. The case number , 1550 and movement number 0f 6,076,xxx. The case with clearly marked Rolex Stamp. The screw in original Rolex Oyster crown fully marked and working perfectly.

THE BRACELET: 100% mint, the watch comes with its original Rolex Jubilee fully marked 14k gold and stainless steel bracelet and this comes with a fine quality blue leatherette presentation box.
