VINTAGE PAIR LEATHER FOOTBALL BOOTS 1950s/60s A pair of Black Leather Boots with White flashings. The soles are moulded rubber. This style of boot is from the late 50s called Continental Style. The shin guard is still quite high. The rubber soles were also quite new as just before this we would have had the thick leather soles, with leather studs.When the English Players saw what the Continental Players were wearing they wanted the same. They did not want to try and play in the old cumbersome old style boot.Boots are size8. Some of the white flashing is loose and some is missing in places. Great display item. Made in England.
