Care of Mango Wood:

•  Mango wood vases are NOT suitable for holding water directly also do not submerse in water. If you wish to place fresh flowers into a mango wood vase we recommend inserting a glass or plastic liner inside to contain the water.
• Avoid placing in direct sunlight and areas of excessive heat as this may cause cracking.
• For everyday care wipe with a cloth or duster, and occasionally apply a natural beeswax with a dry cloth and buff up to remove any excess wax.
• Never use a damp cloth to clean.

Mango-Wood  

Mango wood items are made from the wood from sustainable mango fruit plantations, so it’s good on the environment. Once the tree reaches maturity after about 15 years the trees stops bearing fruit and become very large in height and difficult to harvest. When this happens the trees are replaced with new young trees. The farmers will then sell on this wood to local artisans who will cut the trees into workable sizes and then it will be kiln dried in order to retain its stability and strength. Mango wood is ideal for decorative items like candle holders, vases.

All our mango wood items are handcrafted and natural in what may vary slightly in tone, colour, design and finish from photo shown. This normal for handcrafted products, as no two will be the same this makes each piece unique.
