The Kittel is a loose fitting over garment originally worn by craftsmen in Germany.  Its classic pull-over design makes it perfect for children's wear, topping a sweater, shirt or other clothing. Soft pleats fall from an ample neckband.  Sleeves connect to side panels with guessets and are pleated at the wrists into buttoned bands.  Shoulder yokes, neckband, cuffs, side seams, and side pocket openings can be decorated with traditional chain-stitch.  Embroidery designs and instructions are included. Folkwear's Little Kittel is presented in two versions- dress length for girls, and as a thigh-length over-shirt for both boys and girls. Pattern has been partially cut.  The size 10 version has been cut from the paper, the size 8 is still usable.  The sizes 4 & 6 are uncut. © Folkwear 1977
