Care Quality Commission Essential Standards of Quality and Safety Outcome 14 Supporting Workers is relevant to Appraisal.
The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) states that the registered person is responsible for ensuring that staff are appropriately supported – including Appraisal.
The Appraisal process is an important tool for care managers. Effective appraisal identifies strengths and weaknesses in a positive way and will help you get the best from your staff.
Appraisal is a separate process to on-going supervision but is part of the support and supervision requirements laid down by the Care Quality Commission and National Minimum Standards.

Payments received after 10.00 a.m. Saturday morning and on a Sunday - no further postal collections. CDs will be posted Monday.
Please also note that there are no Royal Mail collections or deliveries on a Bank Holiday.
If a CD arrives damaged or faulty you do not need to return the CD to me – simply contact me and I will replace it for you.
