| Two 12 inch long brass shell casings WWII
2 brass shell casings from WW2 anti-aircraft battery manned by Home Guard
Length 12” (30.5 cm) x diameter 1.1/2” at top - 2.1/8” (5.5cm) at base.
Stamped at base with:
2 PR No2 I Lot 160 RM/C 1941 CF (+ WD arrow symbol)
2 PR No2 I Lot 267 VAEL 1942 CF (+ WD arrow symbol)
These will polish up as ornaments, or as a great addition to your WW2 collection.
History; My grandfather who was in the Horse Artillery in WWI was in the Home Guard in WW2 and manned the battery just outside Tamworth, Staffs. These casings were used as ornaments above the range fireplace in his cottage.
