Getting
Started |
||
Before you start using ProBulk you will require the following information: The username and password used to register with at the site When the program first starts up you will be presented with a screen to enter your login details for the auction site. Once you have filled in the necessary details you can click Apply and then the Check Login button to verify you have the correct details set or, if you are sure they are correct, click the Apply Button. In either case you must click the Apply button once finished. If you change your details online in the future you can always go back to the logon screen via the Setup button to set the new details for the ProBulk login. Once you have successfully entered your details you must click the Update button to obtain automatic configuration and the latest features for the site. You must use the Update button to get the correct details for the auction site and to allow you to submit auctions to the site, and as long as your login details are correct, the program will automatically be configured for use with the site. We recommend that you use the Update facility every time you use ProBulk as this will ensure that any category changes we have made are reflected. If you do not Update every time there is a risk that your auctions may not be assigned correctly. |

| Opening an existing or a new session | ||
| Using
Sessions: |
||
From the main screen of the ProBulk you can:
When you select New Session, you are prompted to enter a name to describe the session. We strongly recommend that you create CSV files by category type (eg Militaria, Watches, Toys etc) you sell in and name them to remind you of what type of items are in the listing. Naming a session something like its content will allow you to easily use the open a previously saved session option to load a listing into the program for submitting to the auction or to allow you to update or add to the listing. The listings contained in the session can also be 'Saved As' a different name later on if you change your mind. They can also be exported into a CSV file so that you can if needed, call the exported CSV file into a program you may use to keep track of your sales such as Excel.
From the main menu you can import a comma separated listing (CSV) or one of the other supported Importing options, these include:
Import CSV listing: These listings contain comma separated data (CSV)that can be imported directly into a session if they correctly follow the structure of example.csv supplied with ProBulk. Simply use the Import Bulk CSV listing option and select the delimiter being used in the CSV file to import the file. If you do not follow the structure in example.csv exactly, your import will fail Import Open/Closed auctions: Clicking Import My Current or Closed auctions will download from the site all of the information needed including images. This will allow you to edit or modify your auctions, add new items and, at a click of a button, submit the whole or partial list. Import Ebay TurboLister CSV listing: Clicking Import Ebay CSV listing will present you with a new screen where you can follow these steps to import the auction listing.
The progress of this can be seen in the main screen status bar after Finish is clicked. From the main menu you can export a comma separated listing (CSV) of the current listing with a specified delimiter. Simply click Export and select your preferred delimiter to use and follow the on screen instructions. You can then use your own preferred choice of another application to view, edit, modify or manage the listing such as Microsoft Excel, Access etc. |

| Submitting auctions | ||
| Submitting
your items to the auction: |
||
In the listing screen you will see two buttons, Submit and Submit All. Submit will submit the item in the listing you have highlighted and will only be enabled if you have selected an item. The Submit All button that will submit all items in the listing that have not already been submitted. You can tell by the legend at the bottom that items in pink are items that have not been submitted and items in Beige have previously been submitted in maybe a partial submission. The reason for this is that you may not wish you submit all items at once or you may have cancelled a previous submission half way though the list etc. Either way the entire listing can be marked as not submitted simply by clicking the button to the right of the find keyword box and has a red cross x on it. You may submit a single or selective group of auction items by highlighting the preferred items and holding the Ctrl key on your keyboard and right clicking the mouse to multiple select items, finally, click Submit selected items only. The Find keyword box is there to help you find a keyword in your listing if this has grown to many items. When you click the Submit or Submit all button you will be presented with the Submit screen, this screen simply allows you to starting sending your items to the auction and listing them as live auctions. |
||
| The
actual submission process: |
||
When presented with the submission screen you will see three buttons, Submit, Cancel and Exit. Depending on which button you pressed in the listing screen, the submission will start submitting the item or items to the auction site when you click Submit and you will see the status of the submission for each item in the form of a progress bar that will display the upload progress and show the current item being submitted. If you decide that you do not wish to submit the entire listing once you have already started then you can click the Cancel button to end the submission. At the end of the submission a confirmation of how many successful items were submitted will be shown. On successful submission or partially submission once you close the submit screen you will see that the items that have been submitted to the auction have changed to a Beige color. You can return to that session at another time, click submit all and only submit the items still colored in pink, or you can reset them all again using the Mark all ( red cross x ) as not submitted button. Once you have submitted your items you can either use you browser to view the items you have submitted or go to the main screen by clicking the Internet button and view them from the ProBulk application. |
