Birdie Newborn: I've been a publisher since 1975, owner of Bandanna Books since 1981, involved in every aspect of production over my career, and I live in a house overflowing with books. Did five years in Manhattan doing proofreading, indexing, writing, typing, and typesetting at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Appleton-Century-Crofts, Random House, Praeger Publishing, Fairchild, plus a year as copywriter at an ad agency. Partnered in a poetry press for 8 years, published college materials for the next 28 years. I also do book production (yes, the old-fashioned paper versions), and could be persuaded to do book critique and/or book doctoring (but not ghostwriting).
