I saw those last night. I have a question actually... are the Christmas
ones sew on buttons with either a shank or holes in or are they the pin
type of button that you pin on to a jacket with a clasp behind? I ask as there is a
difference in the terminology of buttons between European/American
crafters. Some buttons we in Europe call a Badge or a Pin for example - so are more akin to jewellery.
I notice that you haven't put postage prices on
your listings and thought I would mention that it's been shown here on SA that sellers are better off to
do so, as most browsing customers will not buy or even stop to ask the price, if it is not
there - they just move on and the seller loses a potential sale. I
know you have oodles of listings now, which are unquoted for post..
so it would be a bit of a daunting task to do it.. but perhaps consider
it for future listings. You could (for the items up and running so
far), add the general indication of prices to the 'Global Message' box
that you can activate above your listings. Just a thought....x
Have a nice weekend! |

The Christmas ones are sew on buttons.
Do you mean to just add a global message the fact that postage will be calculated on weight and distance?
Shipping is something that I have never just guessed at. I have always calculated what the exact amount is after packaging and weighing is done.

Hiya Zacks,
No I wasn't meaning for you to guess the postage, not at all - just to state it when listing the item - so that it shows at the bottom of each item. (Having weighed it at that time of listing and quote for the three postal regions (Own country, Europe and Worldwide).
Naturally, different countries have different postal systems but if you look for the most expensive country in Europe and Worldwide zones, then quote those, you know you have yourself covered and can even refund a little if necessary for the countries that are a little cheaper than quoted. Buyers always remember kindly, a seller that refunds. :D
The real point that I was trying to make is that sales will be slower if you don't quote postage at the outset. Buyers see quoted postage as part of the contract.
Regarding the Global Message, what I was meaning was that in that space you could give an example of postage prices for the items already listed and that are missing the postage prices. What I meant was to give a general indication of post price as in..
abc product roughly $ price to USA, $ to Europe $ Worldwide... xyz product roughly $ price to USA, $ to Europe $ Worldwide... Please note, I calculate post fully upon purchase - but please enquire for a costing if you wish to know beforehand.
Obviously it is up to you to list how you wish, it is personal choice, but adding the postage for each individual item, will certainly increase the likelihood of a sale here.
Have a nice rest of weekend..
Love Michelle x
