Hi All
This may be of interest to you all, this is taken from the weekly newsletter from one of Europes biggest swatch watch supplier Squiggly.com.They are actively bringing to light the degree of fakes and copies on e-bad.

SQUIGGLY NEWS LETTERS
EBay, the place where you can buy anything. But also the place where you can loose a lot of money. Last few weeks we had some contacts with different people who bought fake swatches, or did not receive their package from eBay sellers.
We're not saying EBay is full of this, because there are many very good sellers on EBay with good quality Swatch watches for a very sharp price, but there are some people on Ebay offering goods with a quality that's not so well accepted by collectors.
Let us give you an example:
In this “Swatch Andrew Logan Jelly Fish” EBay auction, this seller offers a:
”Andrew Logan Jelly Fish - Swatch Art Special. Limited 50 pieces. This item is in perfect condition for a watch of 21 years old. No warranty Every piece is hand made and completely unique. Nothing strange about that in at first glance.
What is strange, that this seller bought a “Swatch Jelly Fish 1985” about three weeks before he offers this Andrew Logan special. This is the same watch as is in the Andrew Logan Jelly Fish. Strange, because the Andrew Logan Special is hand made and completely unique. Think about it …
We have also noted that very high feedback and Ebay's customer care is not as trustworthy as it sounds... More about this next week...
This week we write again a piece on the risks of buying Swatch watches on Ebay. A good customer of ours bought a Velvet Underground and a Lady watch from 1983 from mr. Kim Sorensen. Mr Massimo Rellini from New York never received both watches which he bought on separate occasions. Mr Sorensen paid him back US$ 100.00 for the lady watch. But the US$ 2,500.00 he paid for the Velvet Underground watch was never paid back. The president from Squiggly, Rob Versteeg even wrote 3 e-mails to Mr. Sorensen. To the first came a reply that a shipper is not 100% responsible for a shipment and to the second and third e-mail Rob never got a response. I'm sure Mr Rellini has lost his money and I'm not so sure if Mr. Sorensen has really sent the watch. He used a scanned picture from the Swatch-clopedia for the auction. The Ebay insurance is for these auctions not sufficient. The offer a maximum of Euro 160.00 under certain conditions.
All we from Squiggly want to say: "Be careful when you offer money on Ebay for expensive stuff. High Feedback still gives you no guarantee on the quality of the product".
Further we hope Mr. Rellini will continue to collect and we hope that Mr. Sorensen will still try to solve his case with Mr. Rellini. A shipper is ALWAYS responsible for his package.
A nice news Flash about buying on Ebay. Today again two Coca Cola prototype watches are being offered on Ebay.
A Yellow Case watch and Black case watch. Price asked is CHF 500.00 which is about Euro 350.00 a piece. I know that from the Coca Cola watches only one exists in a Swatch case, which is a model with a black case and on the dial a coca cola bottle. Any other prototype is for sure a fake. I'm 99.999% sure that the two pieces offered on Ebay are fake.

I hope this is of interest if only to highlight the 'turn a blind eye,as long as we are making money' attitude, e-bay is being noted at all levels.
