Welcome to Record Collector readers
Maybe we have met before as I used to have several shops in London in the 80s and then spent the 90s travelling around the UK doing the major Record Fairs in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow not to mention the record fairs I organised in Appleby, Penrith, Kendal, Carlisle and Wigton (oops sorry I mentioned them but they were great times)
We may hanker for those good old days of vinyl and packed fairs but time moves on. Internet auctions may have destroyed a lot of the collector's market for us, dealers, but it has opened up a truly international market for all of us looking for that elusive item.
Specialistauctions.com is here to replace trawling through boxes in charity shops / opportunity shops (aren't they full of expensive tat these days!). Dare I say that www.specialistauctions.com is here to replace that other better-known auction site which has lost its way and is no longer responsive to sellers' and buyers' needs!

Oh, and by the way, when I left London for the joys of the Lake District I didn't forget to bring with me my (almost) complete collection of Record Collector magazine. I started, way back, with Issue ONE and started advertising in it when it was still a pocket sized edition so I very pleased that Record Collector magazine has now discovered www.specialistauctions.com - THE place to buy and sell those collectable music items.
